Student Reps are elected by you to represent your views and push for change that will improve your life at Brunel. They can help you with academic issues at module, course, and school level, and give you information on how to resolve any other problems you may have. At the moment there are two types of Student Reps:

Course Reps sit on Staff Student Liaison Committees in each school and represent your views and the views of other students on your course to academic staff. There should be at least one Course Rep for every course at Brunel dealing with issues relating to each course including:

• Penalties for late submission;
• Library and computer resources;
• Clashes in your schedule;
• Quality of lectures;
• Accessibility of module materials.

School Reps are the next level above Course Reps and represent the opinions of all students in their school when they sit on School Board. There should be 4 undergraduate, 2 postgraduate taught, and 2 postgraduate research students on each School Board, and they should push for change on the most important issues affecting all students in that school. They also represent your school’s interests on the Student Union Congress, and Student Representative Council (SRC), where they can influence Union policy and activities. Your Student Reps should introduce themselves to you in core lectures and should be well publicised in your school. They will also always appreciate you contacting them so if you have an issue or a question then drop one of your Student Reps a line.
