The Academy Night Club has been awarded ‘Best Bar none status” in 2007 and 2008. Best Bar None is a national awards and accreditation scheme for pubs, bars and night clubs. Venues who have achieved Best Bar None accreditation are committed to working together with the Police, council and other regulatory bodies to provide fun, safe and enjoyable venues. Although no one can guarantee that you won’t experience problems on a night out, venues that display a Best Bar None plaque have demonstrated additional commitment to making sure that you have the best night out possible in comfortable and safer surroundings.

The following sections are our guide to having a safe night out. Remember, a liver is for life, not just for Freshers week! Have fun, but be careful.
