A safe place to party

The very nature of our name, The Union of Brunel Students defines what we are and this follows through all of our activity including our bar and club. We are here to provide great entertainment and great products in a safe environment for BRUNEL STUDENTS. This is one of the reasons why we ask all customers to carry their Brunel ID at all times as in the evenings we will only allow in identifiable Brunel Students or their bona fide guests (a small fee may apply to guest entry). If you do bring a guest they will need to provide authentic Photo ID which will be scanned into our database for security purposes.

Inside our venues we operate a zero tolerance policy to drugs and weapons and we will ask that customers walk through our metal detector arch in the Academy and on occasion ask to physically search customers to ensure that this policy is enforced.

Our security team are trained to do this in a manner that is as respectful as possible and please do not be offended if we ask to search you. We do not employ a targeted search policy we either search at random, aim for a specific percentage of customers or search everyone.

We also at various times of the year work with the local police on anti drug information and enforcement activities and on occasion we will have sniffer dogs on site that are trained to detect the presence of drugs. If you do use non prescription recreational drugs, the easy way to avoid getting into trouble with the University or facing arrest is to not bring your drugs on campus and certainly not to the bars or nightclub.
