We are currently seeking a new leadership team for 2010/2011

Welcme to the Brunel University LGBT society. We are an ever expanding group of diverse students, friends and acquaintances. We are an ethnically and culturally diverse group with an open  and inclusive ethos.

Our aim is to maintain an LGBT society/group at the Brunel University campus and to act as a focal point for LGBT students, many of whom are living away from home for the first time. They are exploring their sexuality  and want to meet like-minded students. For the mature and postgraduate students amongst us who are not new to LGBT environment, this group remains there for them as an opportunity for social networking.

Our aim is to provide these students with the opportunity to enjoy their time at university with the comfort and confidence that they are being represented on campus. We hold weekly meetings to which everyone is welcome and it is a chance to discuss issues, plan events and generally have a good laugh. There are many occasions where we host social events such as film nights, bowling and there is also the potential for nights out in central London.

We appreciate that there are some students who may find it hard at first being away from home or considering their sexuality for the first time. So as individual members we aim to support each other and provide the much needed peer reassurance.

We also maintain a Facebook group where you can keep up with LGBT events and voice your own ideas, opinions, post pictures and feedback on past events.
