Help with BrunelStudents logins

Over 60,000 BrunelStudents accounts have now been registered since the site was established. With only 16,000 students on campus, we're moving to a new system that restricts accounts to current Brunel students only. Here are some common questions we're being asked regarding the changeover.
I'm a current Brunel student - what are my login details?
Your username's your student number (for example, 1201234).
Your password's your date of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY (for example, 01/01/1990).
Logging in with the above details gives me an 'incorrect password' error.
When typing your password, make sure you're using two digits for the day and month, and including the slashes (for example, 01/01/1990, not 01011990, 1/1/1990 or any other format).
Logging in with the above details gives me a 'user doesn't exist' error.
If you registered with Brunel after the start of September, you may not have a new, automatically-generated account. Send us an email from your '@my.brunel.ac.uk' address, including your full name, student number and date of birth, and we'll set one up for you manually.
Logging in with the above details gives me a 'too many login attempts' error.
This happens when you enter your password incorrectly too many times in a period of time. This is imposed by our site provider, and we can't override it. Try again the following day - if the problem persists, email us from your '@my.brunel.ac.uk' address, including your full name, student number and date of birth.
My previous account 'can no longer validate my credentials'.
If you created an account yourself, its ability to buy tickets or memberships has now been disabled, and it'll be removed entirely later this term. Please switch to using your new one as detailed above.
I've used my old account to buy club or society memberships that are still active.
These will be transferred to your new account over the next few weeks. If you need this done urgently (for example, a Sports Fed card so you can buy further sports club memberships), please drop us an email including your old account username, student number, date of birth and memberships you need transferred.
Can I just change the username of my old account to my student number?
Sorry, no. We need to validate you as a current Brunel student, and only your newly-generated account is set up to do this. Any old ones will still be removed later this term, regardless of username.
I need further assistance.
Please make sure the above FAQs don't answer your question, then send us an email, including your full name, student number, date of birth, and a description of the issue you're having.
Thanks for bearing with us, and apologies for any inconvenience that this has caused!
