Sports Federation Dinner 2010 is being held at the Park Inn Hotel, Heathrow
Directions
The hotel is situated on the A4 on the perimeter road of heathrow airport. From the Kingston Lane entrance of the university, turn right and head towards the 3G pitches. At the end of the road, turn left and go straight across the mini roundabout. Straight across the set of traffic lights and then turn right at the mini roundabout just after the zebra crossing. Follow this road straight over the mini roundabout and turn right by the TOTAL garage. At the big roundabout with the main road, turn left and then follow signs towards the M4. When at the junction with the M4, follow signs for Heathrow Airport T1,2,3. Once you are on the M4 spur road (seen in the map above), you will come towards a big roundabout with a plane in the middle. Turn left here and head onto the M4 and the hotel entrance will be immediately on your left.
Dress Code
Sports Federations Awards Dinner is a Black Tie Event.
Customers in jeans, trainers, polo, T-shirts or clothing of a similar casual standard will not be admitted.
Cultural and National dress will be accepted
Gentleman will be expected to wear a suit, shirt and tie as a minimum
Conduct
Please remember that this hotel will have a large number of paying guests, so please respect them when within the public areas of the hotels grounds. We also kindly ask you to remain in your seat whilst plates are being served, so that the hotel staff are not interrupted in their task.
Transport
Transport will not be provided and we recommend that you book it in advance. The concierge will not be able to get taxi's for all 200+ guests at once, and if you do manage to get one they will be at airport rates (£20+).
Accomodation
If you wish to stay at the Park Inn on the evening of Sports Fed, rooms can be booked prior to the evening at £69 for a single and £79 for a double/twin inclusive of VAT and Breakfast. For this offer please quote the hotel ‘Union of Brunel Students Sports Federation’ when making a reservation.
Late Arrival
If you arrive after the meal has started, you may be asked to wait before taking up your place on the table. This is to prevent students getting in the way of members of staff at the hotel whilst they serve the courses.
